Review of the island of Bali, we would imagine in our minds about the beautiful beaches, charming scenery and the many unique temple all of which has its own history. Mangening Temple included in one of the above temple is located in the village saraseda, tampaksiring, gianyar district.

Mangening temples are in a quiet environment and the air cool. Where the temple is included in one of the cultural heritage which was inaugurated by the Bali provincial government under Law No.05/1985. If you visit this temple, then you will be down the first few stairs to arrive in the courtyard of the temple, here visitors will find pools of clear water where the water comes from a spring coming out from between the roots of trees and cliffs. While to arrive at the main temple, you have to climb some stairs anymore because it lies on the court. Inside the temple there is a three-tiered meru, which used to be where the discovery of lingga-yoni statue. While the concept of the temple Mangenig based on the concept that is used by most of the temples in Bali, which is the concept of "Tri Mandala" (Nista Mandala, Madya Mandala, and Utama Mandala). In the nista mandala there is a garden with five fountains.

At the madya mandala there are some buildings such as: bale gong, bale kulkul, bale pegambahan and bale pegat. While in the main part of the utama mandala there are several shrines, including: three-tiered meru gedong, bale paselang, bale pecanangan, bale saka ulu and bale penganteb.

There is no certainty about the history of this temple, but according to the results of the discovery of an inscription it was concluded that this temple has existed since the reign masula-masuli in Pejeng.

Livelihoods around the temple are mostly farming, however, there is also work as traders and employees.

With the inauguration of this temple as one of the cultural attractions, it is for the convenience of visitors who come provided facilities such as: food and drink stalls, temple guides and large enough parking space.

The time it takes if you want to visit the temple Mangenig is about 90 minutes with a distance of approximately 37 km from the city of Denpasar Bali.
